Ant Da Ripper

“Country Cool.” This is the one phrase that avidly describes southern lyricist, “Ant Da Ripper”. Born Anthony Craig Taylor Jr. on January 24, 1988 in Hull, Georgia, Ripper grew up writing poetry but was soon influenced by the sounds of the radio. He then began to write lyrics and music. In the 5th grade, he began to take his rap skills serious, and formed a rap group with his two best friends, one being Justin “Snipa” Hall. After dominating freestyle battles after high school football and basketball games, Anthony was then given the nickname “Ant Da Ripper” by his peers for how he “ripped” his competition easily. In 2007, Anthony performed his first show with his band Wildkard. For nearly two years he electrified audiences throughout the southeast with the band. Now as a solo artist, He is currently working on his debut EP titled City of the Dreamers. In this EP, Anthony’s lyrical prowess combined with the talent of the Team E.C.S.T.A.C.Y. production team to exude southern hip hop at its greatest! Influential artists that Anthony grew up listening to were Tupac, Biggie, Bone Thugs & Harmony, Mystikal, T.I., Ludacris, Field Mob, Dirty Boys, Outkast, Floetry, Lil Wayne, Maroon 5, Eminem, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, and many more. As his career grows, he plans on financially helping his family, and giving back to the youth of his city by building a Boys and Girls Club of America in his hometown of Hull, Georgia.
